Takin out the Stash 2

Tuesdays are supposed to be the day that we talk STASH but I got my posts mixed up as I try to prepare for my trip up north to Tuscany. So anyway let's get down and Dirty. When I talk "Stash", I'm not talkin Trash! "STASH" meaning the items that you are hoarding - waiting for the perfect occassion to use whatever it is that you "don't" use. Are ya with me? This week I decided to take out stamps that I seem to "collect" or rather yet they are doing all the collecting - Dust that is!!
Yesterday I dusted off some Stampin' Up! sets and today I pulled out the Leigh Hannan, Impression Obsession (Candy Apple).... Absolutely beautiful images but dang were they challenging to color. I actually had to walk away a couple of times. I picked up a random piece of white paper that was lying around my table and I think that may have been part of the problem. No clue who it is by but boy was it thin and the slightest touch of a Copic Marker and I had color, intense color. Is that the sign of good paper or junk paper?? I dunno because I actually used way less ink than normal.

The other "stash" I used were ribbon that looks very pretty in a glass container all wrapped neatly around old fashioned clothes pins. The Designer Paper is probably one of my all time favorites and I actually use it often but that is only because it came in a huge tablet with tons of fun embelishments, like the little, chipboard, photo corner. The card base, on the other hand, that Texturd Cardstock has been in my stash for years! The red buttons are new but they come in a bag of approx. 150 so no need to hoard those, although I do like the way they look in their glass jar ;o) Cream button came off of some item of clothing. I again stamped some little polka dots for my background......One last thing you have to check out is how I used the Martha Stewart Fence punch!!!! See below the mustard cardstock the dark green border?? How cool is that? I just turned it upside down and adhered it so that only the points were showing..
I used the Mojo Monday sketch in case there is anyone out there who wants to play along with that challenge. The link is over in my side bar towards the bottom. I'm glad you stopped by today. Tomorrow is the Shirley's 2 Girls final Christmas in July challenge and then we will be moving on to some SNEAK PEEKS!!! Come back and play Twisted Thursday with me.
