---------> SALE PAGE <---------
Ever make a card where you impress yourself? I am really digging my project for today. I think it might go into a frame and become part of my fall decor'.... Before I do that, I am going to stamp the "Count your Blessings" sentiment that comes with the Pilgrims onto the front of the card. My turkey is "Counting his Blessings" in that he is not part of this year's Feast! (The Turkey is actually a Digital placecard) I printed him out onto designer paper, used copics to color, then cut him out. The green portion of his tail feathers was originally a circle die that I had lying around my table. I paper pieced the lady pilgrim's apron but everything else was colored using my Copic markers. Although the Design Team is showing off our newest Thanksgiving stamps, YOU are free to use whatever theme strikes your fancy.
HERE ARE THE "TWISTED" DETAILS:
  1. CREATE a project using today's Sketch pattern
  2. Add the TWIST by adding WIRE
  3. Upload your project to your blog or favorite gallery (S2GSC33 & shirleys2girls)

I Love It When............

I just plain love
TWISTED THURSDAYS
hosted by
Shirley's 2 Girls

& the
Ladies with Attitude

Each Thursday we reveal a new sketch with a fun little twist. This week's "TWIST" is to use CHIPBOARD somewhere on your project. The best part about sketch challenges is to see how each participant interprets the sketch. Even though I designed today's sketch, I still felt the need to really make it my own. I turned the sketch and also decided to make it a bit more interesting by making it open down the middle. If you look closely at my project, you can also see the way that I interpreted the 3 circles. I painted a piece of chipboard then I used cream ink to stamp the sentiment directly onto the chipboard. I also smeared a bit of the cream ink around the edges. Check out the font on that sentiment, is that not beautiful? I only stamped a portion of the sentiment so that the sentiment is open ended and anything could be inscribed on the inside. This stamp set is called "FRIENDS" and the full sentiment reads "I love it when..... we all get together." Check out all of the new S2G stamp sets -----> HERE

How would you like to win a FREE Stamp Set?
Here are all the TWISTED DETAILS:

Always take time to PLAY!

TWISTED THURSDAY
#28
Besides the fact that the Shirley's 2 Girls images beg to be paper pieced, I am loving how different and fun their sentiments are. The sentiments are such a great size that they could easily be mixed & matched, used alone or paired with other stamp sets. Versatility is a vital component in my world. However, the best part about them is THEY ARE UNIQUE! I mean sure, I care what others think, BUT, I all but never do what everyone else is doing. That pretty much applies to EVERY aspect of my life. Hmm is that the whole Rebellious Nature that I am always speaking of? I dunno, but I do know that I LOVE SHIRLEY'S 2 GIRLS and I get so excited cruising around blog land seeing everyone's take on the TWISTED SKETCHES each week. This week I have chosen another one of the newly released Cats (Happy Fall SG 619 ). If you look closely you can see that I did not adhere the hand that is raised or the ends of the scarf. I like how he appears to be jumping off the card but I'm not sure that shows too well in the photo. Check out all of the new releases ----> HERE
Are you TWISTED? Then come play with a fun group of LADIES WITH ATTITUDE and maybe you will WIN a FREE STAMP SET!
Here are the TWISTED DETAILS:
  1. Create a project using today's Sketch pattern
  2. Add the TWIST by adding A Metal Tag
  3. Upload your project to your blog or favorite gallery (S2GSC28 & shirleys2girls)

TWISTED THURSDAY

NEW IMAGES
by
SHIRLEY'S 2 GIRLS
WOW do I ever stink as a blogger lately or what? About the time I get used to being back at work full-time, a husband on deployment and the jillion other things going on around me, it will be time for it all to change AGAIN. Speaking of change, it is time for Autumn. Those crazy "SISTERS" (aka Shirley's 2 Girls) being the artists that they are, whipped up a few new images to Celebrate the Changing of the Season's.
Check out all the new images along with their WITTY sentiments ---> HERE <--- How would you like to WIN free stamps? Twisted Thursday's are a fun sketch challenge with a "TWIST". This week's "TWIST" is to use Raffia or Twine somewhere on your project. My twine is added to the top of my tag. My cat image was stamped and colored using Copic Markers directly onto the patterned paper. I added an eyelet in the center of the wheelbarrow wheel. I used the polka dot stamp from the "Bon Voyage" stamp set on the manilla tag. For complete details or to link your Project to the MR. LINKY, please visit the S2G CHALLENGE PAGE-----> HERE

Wanna Scare up some Fun?

Twisted Thursday #25
is all about
Scarin' up some Fun
Halloween cards are not usually my thing, however, I am LOVING the new Stamp sets that Shirley's 2 Girls recently released. I used GHOUL FRIENDS. This week's TWIST is to add a Halloween Embellishment. We all know I am not able to just run down to the local craft shop so I created my own using one of the new inchies (Spookies 1). Don't you feel like that spooky cat is starring at you? I colored the cat in using Copic C3, added shadow using W-3 & W-1. If you look closely you will see that I also went around the right side of each point adding a bit of shadow. Used a small circle Nestability to cut him out then adhered with foam squares to a scalloped circle that I pierced using a needle. I wanted a bit more edgy look so I flipped the pierced circle over. So if you don't have a Halloween embellishment, improvise. That's what challenges are all about, making it your own. We want to see your interpretation of this week's sketch. Here are complete details so that you can play and who knows, Maybe YOU will be this Week's WINNER of a free S2G stamp!!
  1. Create a project using today's Sketch pattern
  2. Add the TWIST by using a Halloween Embellishment
  3. Upload your project to your blog or favorite gallery (S2GSC25 & shirleys2girls)
  4. Link your project to ---------> Mrs. LINKY <---------

From My "WEB" to Yours!

WELCOME TO
"Twisted" Thursday
#24
Hosted by the
Ladies with Attitude
&
Shirley's 2 Girls
Today's "TWIST" is to use ORANGE & PURPLE on your project. I do have both colors but the orange was a bit more challenging for me. Sometimes my projects just take on a mind of their own and today that circle in the background of the sketch was "screaming" SPIDER!! How perfect is that sentiment for my project? Did you notice the Spider web that I zig zag stitched back & forth from the upper right hand corner. No paper piecing today, Jinx was colored using Copics. I added a little Angel Wingz Shimmerz to the spider web on the image , as well as, directly onto the threads of my stitched web.
As you know I have been on a seriously crazy Challenge kick this week and I would love for you Play along with myself and the other Ladies with Attitude.

The "TWISTED" Details:
  1. Create a project using today's Sketch pattern
  2. Add the TWIST by using orange & purple
  3. Upload your project to your blog or favorite gallery (S2GSC24 & shirleys2girls)
