Emergencies Happen.............

Hershey's Truffles are so much better than Altoids and I can eat them much quicker, thus, freeing up the tins.........much quicker!!!  OK so now I have a closet full of these little wonders and The possibilities are endless.  My brain is swimming with so many ideas that I can barely get them out quick enough.  I can't remember which company but there is actually a stamp designer that has created a set of stamps specifically for the purpose of these little tins.  I find so many amazing new "toyz" while cruising around blogs but I am forever trying to figure out how I can create the same results senza the "tool"......

Speaking of tools, I have purchased several of the Marvy Uchida punches in the hopes of creating the same results that I am seeing all over the place. Circles, Squares, Rectangles with Scalloped and embossed edges.  My true hearts desire is to own the Spellbinders, Nestabilities!!!!!!!!!  Of course in order to use the Nestibilities, you must also own the Cuttlebug!! Yet another tool I was hoping to avoid.  I don't particularly care for owning or creating all of the little slide things that were originally designed for the Cuttlebug, but those Nestibilities........ yeah!!!!! The entire set of squares can be stored in one CD case and weigh close to nothing. (weight is important when you are talking about a military move every few years, another reason I can use to entice my husband).......

So I have convinced myself that I NEED a Cuttlebug and the Nestabilities, but that's NOT ALL!!!  I NEED new markers. Preferably the Ciao Copic Markers or the PrismaColor markers.  Tomorrow's post will show you why I NEED these.

Alrighty then, back to my tins already......... (darn ADHD) The tin with the Vespa girl was created for my friend, Erin. It is a little sewing kit that she could keep pretty much anywhere but hopefully it contains everything she would need to do a little "emergency sewing"  (((( Thread, Needles, Buttons, Scissors  ))))  I really like how the ribbon on the inside of the lid holds the scissors in place.  I stamped and rounded the corners to create the paper.  The inside bottom and outside bottom are also covered in the same paper.

The second tin was created as a birthday gift.  I love the coordinating paper and cardstock. Not sure if you can tell that the paper on the outside of the tin is embossed and glittery.  Rather than use tacky tape, I used my TomTom glue to adhere the paper and chipboard in place. I get so tired of cutting and peeling that tacky tape.  I should have created little individual pockets for each section. This would have made construction so much easier and eliminated the need to create the little box. I think I spent more time on the little box than on the entire creation!!!  Of course it does not help that I am severely ADHD and don't actually measure anything.  The little pockets will contain ((( Bandaids, Tylenol, Small Nail File, Buttons, Needle & Thread and Gum )))  If I had created it for myself, I would keep it in the Glove Department (that's what I call it) of my car.......

Let me know what you think...........................................................

Neat!!! Now you only need to put a little magnifying glass inside that sewing kit. I realized it takes longer for me to thread the needle, than to actually sew the item. That's old for ya.
