Twisted Thursday Sketch challenge #8

TWISTED THURSDAY
**** A G A I N A L R E A D Y ****

Before I get into all of the details and how you can win free stamps let's talk about my CARD. Is that stamp YUMMY or what??? I was dying to own and play with that S2G Mermaid!!! Those of you that know me well, are gonna look at it and say " OMylanta she used her precious seaglass!!!" I know right! Technically I made it for my BFF Michelle and it is HER SEAGLASS. She didn't want to put it in her luggage when she flew back to Hawaii last summer so I told her that I would sent it. OOPS, My bad. Justification: 1: is it how heavy that stuff is going to be to mail? 2: The price? because I could just use a flat rate box OR 3: I cannot bear to part with it? I'll let you guys come to that conclusion on your own as I hang my head in shame! O wait I was gonna talk about the card and that gorgeous stamp!!!

I started off watercoloring then I decided oooooo lets's add some SHIMMERZ!!!! OOO Sparkley, that was fun but it overpowered my image so I traced the image again using a black journaling pen. I then added a teeny little rhinestone to her bracelet and a few white dots around her necklace so that it stood out just a bit. Hopefully I wasn't too rebellious on the sketch. Ya'll can still see that I followed it but with a TWIST of Justineism ( That's fun to say). I have finally concluded that, as card designers, we are ARTISTS. A true Artist cannot color inside the lines, they have their own interpretation of an image or sketch. This is mine !!!
  • I'd love for you to play along with myself and the rest of the Ladies with Attitude. Here are the deets of the challenge:

Create a card, following this week’s sketch and ADD RIBBON.
  • You are not required to use Shirley’s 2 Girls stamps, but if you have them, we’d love for you to use them!
  • Upload your card to your favorite online gallery and/or your blog. If you upload to SCS or PCP, please use the keywords S2GSC8 AND shirleys2girls.
  • Post a direct link to your card using Mr. Linky HERE
  • The deadline for uploading your card is Sunday, April 26, 2009 at midnight PDT.
  • The winner will be chosen using Random.org, so everyone has a chance to win.
