Happy Birthday Bouquet

This card started out life as the base for my bee hive card posted a week or so ago. I know, I can't figure out what my thought process was either! Regardless, I think that I have, yet again, saved a flubbed idea.

The leaves are from Beyond Borders and was part of their new releases for February. To break up the vines a bit, I added piercing along the main stem of each vine. I added a piece of scrap DP, however, I would Zig Zag stitch across the top if I choose to do another and may still go back and add it to this one eventually. The ink, ribbon and button were also PTI new releases last month. The color is New Leaf.

Rather than slide ribbon through both sides of the tag, I wraped one side around the card. The silk flowers were attached with glue dots as were the buttons. I can't stand to see naked buttons so I give mine the appearance of being stitched on by threading cross stitch floss through and tying it in a knot.

I hope that everyone is kicking up their heels and Celebrating the end of the work week. I have a few more tricks up my sleeve so I hope that you will check back soon.

Paper Trey Ink: Satin ribbon, button and ink in New Leaf, White cardstock, Stamps: Damask Designs sentiment, Beyond Borders too, Melon Berry buttons,
