Thought you guys might be getting tired of seeing Vintage (gasp) and I wanted to let you know that I can still crank out the bright, funky, whimsical projects.
My mom actually nicknamed me "QUEENIE" and every card she sent me had something to do with a "QUEEN"......... Wonder if that was her way of saying I was a "Putana" (even though that is an Italian curse word, you can probably figure out what it means right?).........Did you happen to notice that the two photos above are different?? Same card but on the second photo I added glitter to the streamers hanging down from her Staff. I added black pearls to her crown, AND I added a chipboard photo corner that I painted lavender then added glitter ;o]
Last month Shirley's 2 Girls had a super fun "Alice in Wonderland" Digital image release and I am just now getting time to play with them. Wait till you see the CHESHIRE CAT, he is only my ALL TIME FAVORITE cartoon character. Good thing I'm not on their Design Team anymore since I can't keep up with all of the amazing image releases. Right now they are debuting a very CHIC FRENCH line of IMAGES.....
Anyhow, back to ME..... Pretty straight forward card. Printed out the image, colored it using Copic Markers. The fun metal Queen sentiment was actually a Wine Glass Charm. I simply snipped off the brackets and chain. The card base was embossed and she is mounted using foam squares atop a textured cardstock that I cut using Nestablities Label # 4 from ABC Toys & Crafts.
CHALLENGES I USED..........
Paper Makeup Stamps: 5 Embellishments (3 black pearls, 1 chipboard, 1 metal word)
Cute Card Thursday: Touchy Feely (lots of texture with the embossing, textured paper, glitter, & of course the Metal Queen Script)
Stamp Something: Layers
Dare U 2 Digi Stamp: Metal
Inside of the card:
...........Supplies I used..............
Digital Image: (Shirley's 2 Girls)
Ink: Copic Markers
Paper: Stampin Up (elegant eggplant, basic black), Bazzil Basics (textured eggplant), Gina K Designs (white)
Misc: K&Co (chipboard photo corner), Delta (acrylic paint lavender), Stampin Up (dazzle diamond glitter)
Tools: Spellbinders (nestabilities label #4), Stampin Up (argyle embossing plate, scalloped circle punch)
