Alright so this is my favorite card for "THIS WEEK", let's take a closer look. The sweet little "Dear Friend" angel image is from Crafty Secrets Creative Scraps "Girlfriends". All you have to do is cut them out. I inked the edges of mine. The image is mounted on a piece of Hazel Nut "Coredinations" cardstock that I die cut using a Nestabilitie Label One die, embossed, sanded (which brought out the pink CORE of the Coredinations CS, inked the edges then layered onto a Blush blossom piece of cardstock, inked the edges of that and finally mounted using foam squares.

There are two different Martha Stewart punches used on this. #1 is the Doily Lace edge punch that I used for the cocoa and vanilla layered borders and also the very versatile Martha Stewart Branch mixed in with my flowers. Four different ribbons were used. A wide satin Taupe layered under the embossed blue satin ribbon.

The lace that I used is from here in Sicily to which I added a sheer blue ribbon and tied in the heart charm. The beaded stick pin is secured safely under all of the ribbons and border punches, Trust me, it isn't going to stick anyone

CHALLENGES:
Crafty Creations: Texture
Cupcake Craft Challenges: Going Girly
Simon Says: Shabby Chic
Pile It On: Tie it around (use at least 3 ribbons - I used 4;)
Creative Inspirations Challenge: Distressing (did that when I sanded & inked the cs)
Crafty Ann's: Embossing
Flutterby Wednesday: My angels are certainly fluttery
There She Goes: Embellish x3 (I did 3 flowers, 3 buttons, Ribbon/stickpin/charm)

..............Supplies I used...............
Crafty Secrets Creative Scraps "girlfriends"
Tools: Spellbinders (Nestabilities-labels one), Martha Stewart (doily lace edge punch, branch punch)
Papers: Stampin Up (close to cocoa, very vanilla, always artichoke, sage shadow, certainly celery), Coredinations (hazelnut), Paper Trey Ink (blush blossom)
Fibers: Sicilian ribbon & lace, Prima Flowers

Oh my, what a shabby chic fabulous card you made! I love all the elements you added to it. Gorgeous! I am loving vintage cards right now! I also have found lace here and can't get enough of it. And my MS doily punch broke (just stopped working). Thanks for the promo at ABC, I will have to get another one. Have a great day, my friend.

Fabulous card, Justine!!! Congratulations on winning Top 3 Scoops at PIO this week. I love that image. It's funny, because I used the exact same one a couple of weeks ago for a New Year's card, but I picked it up free from one of the vintage sites. I figured you had too until I read your post about getting it from Crafty Secrets.

Anyway, congrats on a beauty and hugs,
Linda
