fa-BOO-licious BLOG HOP

BOO
did I scare you?

WELCOME to STOP #3 on Shirley's 2 Girls very first HALLOWEEN Blog Hop
(make sure to read all the way down-this might be long but I have tons of photos today)

If you haven't already heard, Shirley's 2 Girls is releasing 13 fa-BOO-licious new images TODAY. To have a SCREAMIN' Good Time start today's blog hop----> HERE <---- Make sure to visit each of the Ladies with Attitude TODAY and leave each one a comment because some lucky commenter is going to win a SPOOKTACULAR Prize..... I have no clue where the Mystery Prize is hidden so make sure to leave comments on each post but that's not all, there will also be a Grand Prize Winner drawn via Random.org. The Design Team has had so much fun preparing some amazing eye candy for you...... SOOOO Without further ado, allow me to introduce
a saucy new W-itch (yes that is 'itch with a "W")
"JINX"

Is she not the Sassiest Diva you have ever seen? O MYLANTA! wait until you see the sentiments that some of these new sets come with, I swear those "Sisters" designed these while thinking of ME.
This just might be my All Time Favorite project but where do I begin? The frame that I spray pained? The cork board? Altered Letters? O YES "JINX", The main image is on a patterned paper with subtle cracks and distressing. I colored directly over this using Copics. Her dress is paper pieced but the right side was left raised just a tad to give a more 3-dimensional effect, I lightly colored her dress underneath so that it looks like a shadow if looking from the side. I dirtied her up a bit by sponging the edges and then accidentally dropping my black stamp pad but decided that I liked the spot on her stockings.
I used two different dark yellow inks and a sponge to color the moon.

This fun little bat is from one of the Inchie sets also being released today. He too is stamped on a subtle patterned paper, punched using a circle punch then adhered on top of two scalloped circles. Holding the center of the image, I pulled the scallops towards me to give more dimension.
WAIT, I'm so not finished
I love "JINX" so much I couldn't stop, so I created another project! I warned you this was going to be long. So what do you think JINX is brewing up in the kettle of hers? Sangria? Hot Toddy? I think she is making Vino!

I purchased a 4 pack of Cabernet in the small bottles then created and covered the original wine labels using one of the Sentiments included in this new set (jinx potion-912). The sentiment on the front of the box is also included in this set but I added a simple black line under the word "Drink". No paper piecing on this image, she was colored using Copics. I did a thumping technique on her clothes using a colorless blender to give her outfit some texture. I added Angel Wingz "Shimmerz" to the bubbles, as well as to the spider web.

This photo shows a before and after photo of the wine bottle along with some of the supplies I used. I used scalloped rectangle Nestabilities on the labels. Did you happen to notice the purple spider paper? That is one of the new Digi Papers being released today also. After printing a sheet of it out, I used Nestabilities Label 1 to cut out the piece for the front of the box and then from the scraps I used a small circle punch to punch out 8 spiders. There is a spider on each label, as well as, the top of each bottle.
This photo shows the tools I used to cover the box that the wines came in. I covered the sides with black card stock then to give a more complete finish, I covered the corners with 2" strips of lavender CS. I simply scored down the middle of each then used an edge punch along each side and glued them over the raw edges.
Are you having fun yet??
