oh, my most treasured birthday.... the fact that i have one at this age. i've already outlived my parents (dad died at age 42, mom at age 52). i am truly blessed!

15 years ago I turned 42 on the 8/20 and was pregnant with my one and only child, ready to deliver any day. She was a little bit late for my present but she arrived on 8/26. She's the gift that keeps on giving.

A birthday memory, let's see...A few years ago Chip had to do his senior board on the day of my birthday. Just as my luck would have it, the power went out because of a storm, but he still had his senior board to do so of course I had to cook breakfast enchiladas by candlelight because the power was out. Just my luck!
Can't wait for tonight! I'll make sure that your birthday is much better than mine was!

Ack I forgot the most treasured memory!
Has to be my 40th, DH took me to NY, 1st class air travel, thanks to business air miles, the weekend before. On the day we had a party at home with many dear friends here till the small hours and beyond. Oh and DH got my birthday put in the famous people's birthday column in the Racing Post (we're friends with one of the journalists)! I'm not famous at all, got a real buzz from that :)

I treasure every birthday, but my best.... my 16th birthday. My parents arranged for me and some of my girlfriends to dress up and take a limo ride (all by ourselves - no grown ups) to a revolving restaurant downtown. We then took a carraige ride around the town as well. We felt so grown up and special!

My most treasured birthday memory - probably when I was 13 and got a horse for my birthday. He was my responsibility for the next three years and I learned a lot from it - and had a blast. A very close second was last year's trip to San Francisco, though!

You have not changed much since school. You are still beautiful and will always be young at heart.
My best B-day. 10 years old my Dad gave me a 1969 Volkswagon Bug to drive. We ripped out the back seat and I made a bed. Furry pink pillows, pink seat covers and a pink stick shift knob.
No laws on those dirt roads. It was a blast.

40?! Pffft, not a year older 21 I say! Well, I am a bore because I have no great birthday memories - seriously. Okay, 3 years ago my bf got me a beauty spa treatment which was lovely, so I think that is my best memory... I am born in early January you see, so all my childhood birthdays were overshadowed by xmas - "Sweetie, you'll get a BIG xmas pressie, and we'll say it's your birthday pressie too, mmkay"...
To-be parents, try not to conceive in April, and you'll make your kids alot happier!

Happy Birthday old lady!! ;-) My most treasured birthday was probably my 18th - I was just about to start my Senior Year of high school and my parents had a big Surprise birthday luau complete with kalua pig cooked in an imu. My Dad gave me a new car to replace the used car I got when I turned 16 and to this day that car was the best car I owned! Man I loved that car!

Today is my 33rd birthday. But I have to say that my most treasured birthday was my sweet 16. I was going last minute school shopping & birthday shopping with my mom that day. But never actually made it shopping. It was a cover for a surprise 16th birthday party that my sister was throwing for me at her house. I definately was surprised!!
Happy birthday...I'm right behind you in the big 40! Favorite birthday memory was going to Tahoe to celebrate with my Husband, Sister & DD (who was 4 at the time). I'll keep checking your blog to see if I am the lucky winner :)
Happy Birthday Girl!! I made you a CARD. :D ...and my fav birthday memory was when my Dad took us to Lake Beardsly and I caught a bass. We hooked it to the back of the boat so it would stay fresh...when we took off to head back to camp we forgot my fish :( of course when we got back and pulled up the stringer...no fishy. But we did get a picture of it and I was SO happy (I think I was about 6), I would have attached the pic but it's in limbo on my other "virus infected computer" and I couldn't get it :(
Happy Birthday Justine. My most treasured birthday was this year when I turned 40. A few days after my birthday I found out I had cancer. If it wasn't for my wonderful doctor running a test earlier that month for a different issue I would of new found it. I know your thinking how is that a treasure. Well if they had not found it, I would not be here sharing an awesome life with my loving husband, children and friends. I now believe all my birthdays will be my most memorable. I wish you 40 more!! Oh, my most treasured birthday memories. The first is from my 18th birthday, my (now) DH asked me to marry him! And on my 22nd birthday, my oldest son (he was 3 at the time) surprised me with his favorite snack, a pudding cup and said "Happy Birfday momma!" It was so sweet.
my first birthday not at home: i was 21 and traveled alone in chile, so i found other tourist to celebrait with in the local pub. it was great feeling being a big girl.

My birthday and my husband's birthday are exactly one month apart. A few years ago we started a tradition of going on a romantic ski weekend to celebrate!! It's so much fun!

My fav memory was last year 29. Chuck and I spent it at the Taormina Greek Ampitheater singing along to Paul Simon (with Mount Etna errupting in the background) then we found out he made Chief!!

My most treasured Birthday gift was a plane ticket to go visit my sister (whom I miss very much). I am frightened of flying but that gave me the push to just do it. It worked and I've been to see her 4X already.

My best birthday memory is my 06th Birthday - my parents surprised me and my brothers and sisters with a trip to DisneyWorld Florida - we whent for 3 weeks it was Brilliant - I had breakfast on aboat with Mickey and Minnie mouse on my 6th Birthday :)

Last week I felt like I was 17 again and this year I feel older than my years! LOL! My fav memory would be that I always got to pick out what I wanted for our birthday meal...
