Matryoshka Dolls

I created this happy little card using the newest line of stamps that ABC is carrying called "My Cute Stamps". This stamp set is Matryoshka Dolls. The blue dolls are simply stamped onto cardstock using black ink. I cut them out and adhered them. The red doll was stamped onto white and then colored using copics. She is mounted with foam squares and has a teen bling added to her flower. I cut out the scalloped squares using Nestabilites but I used one of the border stamps from this set to stamp around the edges. The Flower is a Martha Stewart punch that I actually layered 3 of them together (don't think you can see that but under the yellow there are two more in a cream linen paper. The photos do not show that the front of the card is cut shorter than the back so that the border along the bottom sits at the bottom of the framed dolls. For that border I used an adhesive Martha Stewart ribbon and an edge punch. Check out how well the edge punch coordinates with the flower and the border around the square..... Amazing.. I actually ordered that punch for to go with this specific stamp set.. Sitting right on top of that border is another little red doll that I stamped on red CS then adhered her. She is only visible on the inside of the card. Kinda like a
sweet little SURPRISE when you open your card.

The DT call looks like fun. Not sure I have the time this time around but would seriously consider it at a later date. Good Luck with the call. I'm sure you'll have a tough choice ahead of you.

Adorable Justine. Love the treatment around your scallop edge...such a nice touch. Those nesting dolls are so cute and I really like that you decorated the inside of your card as well. Very nicely done!

OMG-What a wonderful design!! While in Prague over the Christmas holiday, 2008 my husband had to buy so many of those dolls as gifts for family.
