HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

Whew what a busy week. Between spending time with my hubby and making sure that Valentines were all finished and delivered, I slacked off in the Blog area. Therefore, I have so much to share...... The Heart Tins were gifts for Adam's teachers. The tins were purchased from PTI. I cut a strip of dp to 8" x 1 1/2" and adhered it with red line tape.

I traced the lid onto the dp and adhered it to the top then embellished with punched hearts, tags etc. Rik Rak was cut to 8" and adhered with craft glue. Each tin was filled with 6 large gum balls which raised the lids just a bit so I had to secure them with a tight band of ribbon to keep the lids from popping off. The mini cards measure 2"x2". I inked the edges and cut out the little retro images from the reverse side of the polka dot dp. The sentiment inside read "Valentine, I chews you".......

Can ya feel the love?? I certainly can. Knowing the he wouldn't be here on Valentine's Day my husband delivered a beautiful bouquet of flowers to my classroom so that I would be able to enjoy them all week. Is that rose not AMAZING??

Adam and Emily both made sure that I knew I was loved as well. Adam said that he worked on his card for SEVEN days. Check out all of that detail.

I can see why it took so long, takes awhile for glue to dry!!! Precious........

Emily gave me a box of chocolates this morning, which I have just about finished off while drinking my coffee ;o)

However, last night she had a Valentine Gram delivered to the house!. Now what is supposed to happen is that "Cupid" delivers the Valentine during the night so that the recipient wakes up to a fun Valentine in the yard...... While watching a movie with the kids, I heard what I thought was someone on my carport breaking into our shed or beating the motorcycle!!!!!!!!! O yea, it took me about 3 steps to make it to my front door where I swung it open and found two girls quickly walking away with a hammer in their hands. No visualize me in my hot pink Zebra pajamas shouting "WTF, GET BACK HERE!!!!" Thank Goodness I saw the Valentine Gram out of the corner of my eye before I attacked the "CUPIDS"..........

This is another version of my Valentine Gumball Machine. Just thought I would throw it in here randomly.

Rather than make my post too long, I will add an additional entry later this evening featuring the gift that I created for my daughter Emily. You don't want to miss it, So CUTE!!!!!!!
