Wanna Scare up some Fun?

Twisted Thursday #25
is all about
Scarin' up some Fun
Halloween cards are not usually my thing, however, I am LOVING the new Stamp sets that Shirley's 2 Girls recently released. I used GHOUL FRIENDS. This week's TWIST is to add a Halloween Embellishment. We all know I am not able to just run down to the local craft shop so I created my own using one of the new inchies (Spookies 1). Don't you feel like that spooky cat is starring at you? I colored the cat in using Copic C3, added shadow using W-3 & W-1. If you look closely you will see that I also went around the right side of each point adding a bit of shadow. Used a small circle Nestability to cut him out then adhered with foam squares to a scalloped circle that I pierced using a needle. I wanted a bit more edgy look so I flipped the pierced circle over. So if you don't have a Halloween embellishment, improvise. That's what challenges are all about, making it your own. We want to see your interpretation of this week's sketch. Here are complete details so that you can play and who knows, Maybe YOU will be this Week's WINNER of a free S2G stamp!!
  1. Create a project using today's Sketch pattern
  2. Add the TWIST by using a Halloween Embellishment
  3. Upload your project to your blog or favorite gallery (S2GSC25 & shirleys2girls)
  4. Link your project to ---------> Mrs. LINKY <---------
  5. Deadline Wednesday, September 23rd (midnight PST)
Check out what the other Ladies with Attitude have "Twisted" up

Very Nice! I think you have really put forth the effort to show the rest of us, that we don't need Hobby Lobby as much as we say we do.LOL
Which makes me grateful my husband isn't standing over me reading your blog.
Have you not recieved my box yet? Please let me know.
Later, Linda

You go, girlfriend! Your card turned out wonderful!! Love that you made your own embellishment with the Spooky - but your ribbon counts as an embellishment, too!! Have a great time on your R & R trip - you deserve it!! Hugs!

Know what? I'm not huge into Halloween either, but this card is just darn cute! I love that it is different and not all orange and black like "traditional" Halloween colors! VERY cute!!! =)
